ADDING ADVISORS TO YOUR BRANCH

When you’re ready to take your business to another level, Summit has tremendous experience assisting advisors, build and expand their offices by focusing on recruiting advisors to your branch.

 

Summit has partnered with multiple entities who specialize in recruiting advisors including Cetera’s external and internal recruiters and over 50 outside third-party recruiters.  Summit’s internal Business Development team works with these entities to supply leads to offices all over the country looking to expand their advisor count.

Summit and Cetera will support this process financially by preparing recruiting packages for advisors looking to join your office. This support includes:

  • COMPETITIVE UPFRONT TRANSITION ASSISTANCE
  • LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS
  • ACAT REIMBURSEMENT
  • MARKETING COLLATERAL, INCLUDING BUSINESS CARDS, STATIONARY, DIGITAL, ETC…
  • E&O FEES
  • AFFILIATION FEES

To attract more potential advisors for your office we work with you to develop a marketing plan through our LEAP (Locate Evaluate and Place) Program

LEAP (Locate, Evaluate And Place)

The first step of this process is to generate a prospective advisor list based on the demographics and characteristic which are similar to the advisor you want to recruit. These demographics can include:

  • LOCATION
  • AUM/AUA
  • RETAIL BD TYPE: I.E. BANK, INDEPENDENT, INSURANCE, OR WIREHOUSE
  • CLEARING FIRM
  • # OF YEARS IN THE BUSINESS
  • # OF YEARS AT CURRENT FIRM

The second step of the LEAP Program is to establish a geography radius and produce heat maps based on all the provided data. The last step of the LEAP is to determine marketing mediums you want to use for outbound marketing to these prospective advisors.These mediums can include:

  • COLD CALLERS
  • DIRECT MAIL
  • EMAIL DRIPS
  • OPEN HOUSE
  • ASSOCIATION MEETINGS AND EVENTS
  • SOCIAL MEDIA
  • BRANCH WEBSITE

DEVELOPING YOUR VALUE PROPOSITION AND MESSAGING

Just as important as developing your recruiting strategy is making sure you have a clearly defined value add proposition to attract these advisors to your branch.

 

You will work with our marketing consultants to work through and complete this process and ultimately develop either electronic and/or print versions of your customized pitch book to advisors and other marketing collateral.

Investing In Your Success

Your growth is our priority. As part of the Cetera family of firms, you’ll have access to two loan programs that can boost organic growth and longterm success.
Growth Alignment Plan:
Loans distributed through this plan are individually underwritten to support highly predictable growth efforts. Examples include acquiring a non-Cetera practice, recruiting new advisors to your practice or program, or building out a tax practice. The plan is funded with loan agreements paid back through an additional bonus, and each loan targets a two to three-year cash-on-cash return.
Cashflow Relief Plan:
These loans are also individually underwritten, but support growth efforts that are more oriented toward retaining assets and/or other more promissory activities. Examples include lead generation initiatives, succession plans within the Cetera family, and recruiting efforts for new-to-the-industry advisors and paraplanners.
